Description
One of Kingman's Oldest and most unique buildings. The history behind this building is second to none. Research shows that the main building was constructed in 1911/1912 and was the original "Independent Order of Old Fellows" (IOOF). This building is 6,512 Sf in total and has 2-stories. Down stairs is mostly wide open with original wood flooring and a small bathroom, kitchen, and storage room at the rear. The upstairs has access via a staircase on the North side of the building, it has multiple bathrooms, a large front room that overlooks Fifth St & Beale St with lots of windows. There is also a very large back room that could be used for numerous different things. This building is registered on the National Register of Historical Places (8600150). The second building which research has shown to be built in 1924 was the original Kingman Fire Department. There are (2) roll up doors on the front which were used to house the fire engines, and there is a large room on the back that has plumbing for a bathroom, kitchen, etc. Structurally these buildings appear to be very solid, there is so much potential that is just waiting to be brought to light. The vacant lot on the NE corner of Fifth & Beale is ideal for on-site parking. The possibilities are endless with these great buildings!!
